About Us

Wild Roots began long before we opened our doors.

​

It started generations ago, with two families whose lives were shaped by food, hard work, and the belief that sharing a meal can bring people together. Food has always meant more to us than something you eat. It’s how we connect to each other, to our community, and to the place we call home.

Our roots in hospitality run deep.

​

On Andreanna’s side, the story began in the 1950s, when her great-grandparents opened Giuliano’s in Gardena, helping build a legacy of Italian food, family, and neighborhood gathering that would continue for generations. In the 1990s, that legacy grew when her parents opened Gaetano’s, carrying on the family tradition of welcoming guests like family and serving food made with love. Then in 2015, Sean and Andreanna opened Bettolino Kitchen, continuing that commitment to hospitality, community, and heartfelt meals in the South Bay.

Sean’s roots tell another part of the story.

​

His dad raised on a farm, where they worked hard every day and learned early on the value of fresh, organic food grown from the land. That upbringing shaped the way their family viewed food — not just as nourishment, but as something honest, wholesome, and deeply connected to health, hard work, and home.

​

Together, those two backgrounds — generations rooted in hospitality and generations rooted in fresh, wild produce — naturally evolved into Wild Roots.

​

We wanted to create a place that reflects both sides of that story: a place where vibrant, nourishing food meets the warmth of home and community. A place where eating well feels simple, joyful, and accessible. A place that feels true to the South Bay lifestyle — active, coastal, grounded, and full of heart.

We love the South Bay.

We raise our families here, have built our businesses here, and have poured our hearts into this community. It’s where we learned the value of gathering around a table, feeding people with intention, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
